Vent­il­ated facades im­ply high de­mands on de­sign­ers - thus with re­gards to the cor­rect con­sid­er­a­tion of the thermal prop­er­ties/char­ac­ter­ist­ics. This work­shop de­mon­strates op­tim­isa­tion po­ten­tial through the cor­rect iden­ti­fic­a­tion and as­sess­ment of thermal bridges by an­chor and sub­struc­ture. A com­par­is­on of suit­able Pass­ive House con­struc­tion to con­ven­tion­al solu­tions is also on the pro­gramme. Weak points and flaws in facades will be poin­ted out and solu­tions for en­ergy and cost-ef­fect­ive design and im­ple­ment­a­tion de­mon­strated.
